Strat wiring

Hi all,

Need somebody in the Northern suburbs to check out my strat. It's a wiring issue...

Any suggestions?

Okay.... :-[ What I basically tried is to wire the bridge to be "always on". I must've misunderstood, because I was told to add a wire, running from the switch directly to the output jack, which I did. Been using it like that (recording) for almost a year now. The problem is that the Bridge pickup now bypasses the volume control and is now "always on....ALWAYS!" I could just remove the wire but I would like to keep this idea of keeping bridge pickup always on, but run through volume control. I looked at the wiring but unfortunately I am not electrically minded...at all...obviously...Please help!

That should be fairly straight forward

Take that wire you previously added off the output jack. Look at the volume control, there are two wired tags there, one goes to the jack, and the other goes to the switch. Solder the wire to the side that goes to the switch. At the moment the signal goes straight to the jack bypassing the volume. This will now allow the signal to flow through the volume to the jack, thus allowing you to adjust volume and the pickup will always be on, i.e. irrespective of where you put the switch that pickup will always work and the others will be added according to switch position.

alternatively just put a wire from 1 to A, removing your other wire first of course
