I am looking for a couple of good Passive DI boxes to convert Unbalanced to XLR balanced with ground lift. I have an old (like 25years old) Carlsbro PA and everything creates a hum when I plug into it except my Laney RB2 and my Vocalist, both of which have XLR outputs. The vocalist has a ground lift button that immediately solves the problem and on the RB2 I taped the sleeve closed, thus lifting the ground and that works perfectly as well.

I have a Behringer ADI21 DI that will do the job but it not passive, it also has a few neat features for recording, pity you're not around the corner to collect and experiment with it.
