WARNING: Stagg Instrument Cables

Hi all,

Just a friendly warning never to buy any Stagg products.

I recently got two of their 5m "HIGH QUALITY INSTRUMENT CABLES" which started shorting out during their first day of use.

I unscrewed all four jacks to find shocking wiring jobs on all of them (see attached photo).

Funny, I just had a fender custom shop branded cable go pfffft on me..... But yeah....get decent cables ...goedkoop is duurkoop they say

I bought a 6m set on-line at the beginning of the month. A few days later they have an incredible hum. I measured for a short circuit with a multimeter but I cannot pick up anything. I tried it on two amps and both hum when the cable is plugged in. Guess I will de-solder the connectors and re solder to make double sure that there are no shorts

I used to always these cheap cables till i got sick of them breaking all the time and i bought a planet waves cable, never had any probs with it, came with lifetime warranty, just awesome, have had it for a few years now without any probs.
