Very nice, Conrad. I really enjoyed listening. Did you know that this was originally written as a poem by a French winemaker, Placide Cappeau, who subsequently denounced the church and joined the socialist movement and that the poem was set to music by a Jewish composer, Adolphe-Charles Adam. And yet, this is the most recorded carol of all time. On Christmas eve 1906, it became the first piece of music ever to be transmitted on radio when Reginald Fessenden, chief chemist to Thomas Edison, after reading the Christmas story from Luke's gospel, picked up his violin and played O Holy Night. Amazing how God uses the most unlikely people to achieve his ends!
