I wrote a song in Cminor but there is one section where the progression is only Cminor and Eb minor. I'm not well versed in theory but i want to write a solo over this section. From what i've checked in the key of cminor the chord should be eb major but i like the sound of the minor in that section.
EDIT: i've changed the progression slightly to Cm,Ebm,Cm add9,Ebm add9

I also like the major I to major VI. never can solo over it tho ☹

I'd say play in C min over he C min chord, and change to Eb min over the Eb min chord.
Or keep in C min but use the note Gb instead of G whenever you have the Eb chord.

When in doubt, use the chord and its inversions and solo off those patterns exclusively, no way you can go out of key and whatever modal modulation you are going through will sound natural and easy. C minor pentatonic would work, the pentatonics are great because of the missing tensions so tend to just slide over pretty much anything. On the 9th chords those tensions need to be watched for dissonance so personally I would go the chord inversion route, less thinking more fun lol
