I'm learning Needled 24/7 by COB and i cant get anywhere with the intro solo for the past few weeks now. Anyone willing to check out a video of me playing it and checking what i may be doing wrong?

Sure man, can you post a link to the video?

Are you working off of a gp file?? Sometime the guys tab the songs not as it should be played...
What you could try is changing the 15-12 to a pull off with your ring finger (instead of alternate picking everything) so you pick on the outside of the strings for the first lick.
Then where he descends in 4's you start with a down stroke on the high e (just for reference, know its down tuned) and pick on the insides of the strings. What you can also try is to tilt your pick 45 degrees in relation to the stock of your guitar, with less of your pick sticking out that you use for picking, and use a pick of 0.7mm to 0.9 ( personally I don't like too hard picks, but you cant use a very soft pick)
Coz it looks like you are having trouble with your picking hand and that is slowing you down. If you still cant get your speed up try to change the note from multiple strings to only one where you descend ( all the note should fit )
What you also should practice is keeping your fretting hand really relaxed, and only using the least amount of pressure it needs to play the note - so very light touch and try to keep your fingers as close to the strings when you play ( you lift them a bit)
Yah I dont know if that helps at all. I could maybe change your tab for you if you inbox me the tab

You could also play the descending 4's run with legato - only picking every first note when on a string and hammer/pull off the rest.

Here is a nice video that explains the picking a bit

Thanks for the reply man, I'll give it a try and post back in a week with the results ?

No worries man, hope it will help - but you will feel when you do it correctly (the inside picking) it is difficult to describe how much tension needs to be on the pick -- but once you feel how effortlessly you pick and relaxed your hands are remember that feeling......
It tends to come and go when you practice the technique, but definitely worth learning to use when needed.
good luck and njoy the process ?

You are working too fast. The fact that you can't manage the speed yet is making you practice bad habits. Slow down to half speed, get it perfect, then slowly move the metronome up. This is all you really need to do.
