There is no help .
Not with Strat and neither with Gibson (even worse) .
Go to TOMS .
Play them all .
You'll find a quit few Strat's , some of them bloody expensive , so called custom models .
Next to them you can play Tokai, Ibanez, and as a cherry on top 6-7 Tom Anderson's, from which 2 are "Tom Anderson Strat's, so called Classic .
Then you can play some SA made guitars , Fouche, Don Meister , then a few other brands.
Everyone who think that Strat's are worth more than R500 copmaring to any of above mentioned guitars , has no clue about guitars, simple as is(or he is Strat dealer)
Go to Marshall shop then.
Do the same thing , except there are lost of Gibsons versus some other brands .
I will say , according to sound, tuning, weight ( ha ha weight !!!) balance , finish, frets which can hurt you , etc maximum tag price on those Gibsons should be R 249 , A VERY optimistic price. ( I mean Marshall to pay to customer R249 to take it home, to clean some space on the walls for proper guitars...)
the life is too short for having ugly women , bad wine and terrible guitars , just sayin'
Do not listen to any advice from this person about guitars.
His opinions on women and wine do have merit, , though.
