Like lapdawg mentions tough to tell from the pics...I've examined a "chibson" up close next to a real LP. Serial checked out, weight-wise the fake felt a little light, headstock shape was a little different, binding wasn't quite as nice (overlapping the fret ends) and the case wasn't nearly as quality as the real thing. It fooled all but the LP fans/owners.
But what was a give away (for me) was the way the serial number was punched into the back of the headstock - on the fake it was too neat and had the "Made in the USA" addition.
