BTW Mark Knopfler, Brendan Croker and co in the Notting hillbillies. Something good and homely to the ears, them resonators sing and twang. Beeeautiful!

Wish I could afford one - those things are pretty awesome. I remember going to Andy's with Grant... I saw it, picked it up and just started making some pretty awesome sounds. Next thing I notice the whole shop went quiet watching me play... felt strange but ok... so with that little reminiscing done, I'd really like to get one for myself - it looks like it has magic attached to it or something

I picked up this Shaftesbury in the UK last year in a second hand music shop or 150 pounds. I believe they were built in Japan for a shop on Shaftesbury avenue in the '70s. I would love a National but this one is going to have to do in the meantime. It has that wonderful sound but perhaps lacks a bit of volume. I play it in open G.

Here it is being played where it was meant to - on the banks of a big river. In this case the Zambezi.

I bought a Mule. I love it. A bit of a bugger getting it shipped though. But I don't know if I play guitar. I like the sound I make on it though. My cats also. Sort of keeps the peace.
