Does anyone have experience with bareknuckle pickips ? And does anyone know if someone stocks them in this lousy country 😛
No experience, but I've heard good things from reliable sources. They seem to be better at the more muscular, rockier oriented pickups, rather than vintage style models. They are a bit pricey for what they are though - more expensive than top brands like Lollar, Fralin and WCR.
They are marketing them direct (as many of the smaller manufacturers do), so you won't find them anywhere but online.
What are you looking at, BTW?
Contemporary high output pickups. Mainly for my ibanez or a custom guitar im thinking of building hehe ( inspired by the partscaster ) 😛 I just dont want a guitar that i can buy in shop you know ? Like with seymoar duncan or Dmarzio etc.
Look at WCR then.
WCR ? Never heard of them ...
Good(wood) choice! The Goodwoods are the ones everyone is raving about...
Sounds nice, im thinking of using your partscaster info and building a hard rock/metal "contempory" guitar. Should be lots of fun 🙂
Brilliant. Let me know if you need any help with deciding on parts or options.
I will do allan 🙂 I dont know much about neck contours, frets etc. But im willing to learn 🙂
I have a 1971 Gibson Flying V medallion that used to belong to Helloween.
It is fitted with Bare Knuckle pickups and they rock, There is nothing better, I have Dimarzzio evolutions, Custom Dimarzio super distortions, SD JB, EMG 85, Gibson T500 and burstbuckers, active, non active, boosters etc, etc.
Nothing comes close.
