Just checked = out and it looks like experienced players like Chappers will be able to tell the difference while playing but not while listening. Maybe, just maybe, this is because they hadn't profiled the amp well enough - I dunno. I do know that at the price level you can buy several amps; maybe not as many as you have profiled and admittedly at the expense of more weight, space and power...

It's expensive, but not overpriced considering the tonal possibilities. Buy 2 individual 100w heads and you've already exceeded the price of the Kemper.

Probably more like 2 second hand 100 Watt heads (which you can't crank). The Kemper seems great, but I'd like it in software format or a small ~30-50 watt SS combo and without the profiling ability. Make it small, make it look cool and make it (much) cheaper then we can talk.

I agree..it's just the price that puts me off ☹ I bought both my H&K 100 Watt half stacks and a ESP LTD EC1000 Deluxe for way less than what the Kemper is priced at

What's the price?

I saw it on Sweetwater and Musicians Friend for like R25000... so if we do our normal calc to determine SA street price... drop the 1... carry the 3... multiply by customs official mood rating... add vat... Like R40 000? Eish... Hehehe...

It's going to be pricey... I don't know if I could justify that high a cost on a "modeller"... not even sure if I (or most people) would notice a difference sound wise...

@ warrenpridgeon , thanks to our local Kemper distributor (TokaiSA) , they are available locally at way , way less than 40k 8)

A few years back I would have been pretty stuck up regarding amp modeling, Line 6 et al. With Kemper, I'm all for the future. If I had 20k to spend on it, it really would be a no-brainer.
