Played this guitar at Toms Rivonia and it's been burning in the back of my mind since then!

I'd never heard of these guitars before this past week! Looks like a very nice instrument you've gotten yourself. I like some of the detailing on it. Makes it look that much more elegant.

Thanks guys i'm loving her!

I always enjoyed the likes of Jack Johnson/Xavier Rudd/Ben Harper so when I got a chance to play one I couldn't believe how good it sounded (and better plugged in).

I have never played a Bunya model, I'm keen to hear your thoughts.
Queensland maple is honestly one of my favourite favourite woods. So light weight and beautiful subtle figure everywhere (at least on my guitars back and sides, not so much on the neck).

Mine is Queensland maple with Spruce (I presume sitka spruce is the spruce they use, they only specify spruce).
At first it had a very tight sound, which I didn't much like, but within a few days it had opened up and became really big. I can't describe the bass on this guitar, but I will try. It is big and round, but not so much boomy. It reminds me of a Tuba.

Here's a fuzzy picture of my Cole and my Tak.

My Cole doesn't get enough play since I completed my African Blackwood/German Spruce heaven guitar. The only reason the Tak does is because it lives on a stand in the lounge.

Not sure on the difference myself. Cole Clark site says the bunya is a bit stronger, but I don't plan on wrestling the guitar any time soon ?

I've always understood the Bunya to be have a more mellow, less crisp tone, and more colour variation than the spruce.
It makes sense that it would be a stronger/harder wood, as they make a few models with Bunya backs and sides too. Very very mellow guitars...and I don't think an all-spruce guitar would last very long.
