OK I am new to recording too but here goes

Very good song and good use of acoustic guitar.
Your voice is great the vocals and coustic really compliments the effect of the song.
Mixing balance was great, so by so that the stereo effect had me believing I was in a live show
Overdub recording for the percussion?
I think you could have added a bit more percussion to build up to the final verse and finish. Just my taste for drama ?
Overall well done, great song and if I had a voice like yours I would not be working a 8 to 5 job 8)

Song, voice and guitar are good. Are you adding in chorus or some other effect on the voice in parts? Not keen on how that's affecting the tonality of the vocal.

I agree with Stoffeltoo's comments on the percussion - to me it sounds tacked on and incomplete. Too forward, too loud, too isolated and generally out-of-place with the rest of the song.

I get that you're trying to build up as the song progresses, but once you build up it can be difficult to go back. So if you add something, don't remove it completely when you want to bring the song down again or it can be too jarring. Just simplify it or bring the level down.

I think you'd really benefit from working with a percussionist/drummer who can teach you how to fill space and complement a song without it being all or nothing.

Thanx for the feed! Im not using a chrous effect on vocals, but did some vocal widening in the chorous.
