Good Music Doge!
I am a toppy in most forum members books, both songs appeal to me. For you is a more likable song, thats just my heart saying so.
My daughter 16 also likes both numbers and she goes for "We all fall down"
I am not studio or mixing bof but the mix sounds perfect to my ears and BTW excellent female vocalist.
I would chance it to release a CD at gigs.

Thanks I'm very happy to hear that!
Now I have to say some stuff ?
We are a very inexperienced band from the greater East of Joburg. Even though we have all been performing and dealing with music for a long time, we are still young. Our leader singer is only 15 years old (makes me feel ancient) and has written all her own lyrics and vocal melodies. The other guitarist and I have dealt with all the music.
We were lucky enough to get someone incredible to help us record, mix and master 6 songs for relatively very little money. The other 4 are similar styles to these 2 being alternative/indie rock and I think also appealing.
We have managed to get a few small gigs however we're struggling with time and would like to get weekend gigs hopefully in front of a bigger audience. We're just a little unsure of exactly what to do.

Nice tracks, on the For You one the guitars could be pushed (panned) out further left and right, the kind of fight the vocal which itself could use some more compression, it jumps around a lot in volume instead of sitting nicely in the music. The heavier guitars get a bit harsh and drown out a lot when they kick in.
On the Fall Down track the heavy guitars pretty much cause the same problem (as they always do) which is drowning out everything (drums could use some more punch...they always can). For a track like this something more like a Paramore type mix comes to mind, seems to be the style the music is in.
Overall the music is pretty decent, especially for a 15 yr old singer.

Not bad. Decent pop rock that'll appeal to a large audience. Just make it a bit hookier (start with choruses, cut down on instrumentals - especially intros, repeat choruses ad nauseum, etc.) and you're there. A good pop producer will work wonders. Not a bad production as it stands, but sounds more like a rock producer branching out.
Agree on Mixerboy's comments. The distorted guitars are way too upfront and loud. Focus more on the voice - everything else should go to supporting the voice. Mix voice first and build rhythm section to support it, then add guitars to fill in the space.
