My name is Guidance, and I'm an addict ?. Don't worry though I'm not a "substance abuser" by any means, I just like that line for an intro seeing as I always suffer some serious withdrawal if I go a day without touch a guitar. My home town is Tzaneen in Limpopo, but I haven't been there for more than three months in more than half a decade. I'm currently in Kzn, Richards bay, and I frequent Jhb as well. So if you up for a jam you now know where to find me. I play fingerstyle guitar and my repertoire is mostly Jazz/blues, pop and classical. I spend most of my guitar time arranging/learning tunes and composing. The latter is the reason I was mad last week when I realised I discovered this site just after the competition deadline closed. I did however get to participate in the voting. I'm currently not in a band, which is a shame cause I could use a vocalist to bring the pieces I write to life. I've been studying the site for about three days now and I realised there is some serious motivation to upgrade one's gear around here ? unfortunately the only "gear" I currently own is the Ibanez Acoustic guitar that I'm holding on my profile picture. It a has a built-in pickup and it's been keeping me going for the time being. This month marked exactly 2 years since I started playing and I'm glad cause I think I made good progress so far. I've even done it on the stage "solo" a couple of times, plus I had a band last year which didn't quite workout in the end. Well I hope I said enough for an intro, you can ask me more in case I left something out. I've browsed worldwide forum a lot and I'm happy I finally found one that's at home, can't wait to make some friends.

Let me tell you from experience, that joining GFSA is only going to fuel your "addiction"! As far as gear goes, watch out ? GAS was a foreign illness to me before I joined. It's now a monthly struggle.

Wow thanks for the warm welcome guys. It's interesting to hear my condition is only gonna get worse. But I'm not complaining. As for gear, I'm hoping to get a nylon guitar with a pickup in the near future.
