Got her tuesday, and spent tuesday and yesterday giving her a go...
I like.. A lot ?
Lovely colour, lovely flame, lovely acoustic tone.
Now to fix up the wiring which looks horrid, and possibly replace the pots too.
Still hoping the SD pups werent swopped out, but the guitar itself is a keeper.
Lovely setup as well, just needs new strings and im guessing a new battery as well.
Build on the guitar is faultless!
Next one will be a thinline cabronita in shoreline gold.

Still need to get used to the humbucker sound.
The pups are much higher powered than my strats, so im still trying to appreciate (for lack of a better word) the tone difference.
But yeah, didnt want something similar tonally to the strat, and i really have been gassing for this semi hollow the whole time.
I say semi hollow, but it is rather hollow inside actually from what i can see.
Can get feedback at much lower volumes.
Scored a bargain on the strap, r200 for a nice wide levy strap in plain black leather. Saved me a few bob on that.

Arjun, having only used the guitar through my vox so far, the tone and mix tone was pretty good to my lowly ears, but i am working on getting that signal routed to a full range speaker instead, but im pretty happy with the powerbridge acoustic tone.
Still want to route it through some acoustic processor, but thats more for the nice :-[

Thanks! At least I don't feel bad for not having an acoustic anymore.. this guitar is great!
Still need to sort out the humbuckers though.. it seems as if all has not been told, as there are only "generics" in there.
So im making a plan to get the actual SD 59/JB combo which will be fitted soon.
