I'd appreciate if you could share a bit of info about the 3d model you used to cut from, I've been planning this since I realised a few weeks ago that I have access to a CNC mill.
Thanks Peter. I based it off of a few varying tele CAD files I could find around, overlayed with some JPG's of cabronitas to make sure I got the F hole shape and position right. I'm using a pretty cool bridge, the Gotoh 510, and that required a bit of measuring to get the bridge holes correct. Otherwise, it's pretty much a vintage tele. The interior of the body was routed to quite a thin wall, based on some of Preeb (from TDPRI's) measurements. I was keen to get it under 1.8kg. If you'd like, I could send you the files.
After the CAD file was drawn up, it took quite a while to get the CNC cutting program perfect - there's all sorts of settings regarding lead in and out, direction and then depth which end up creating a very cool looking cutting diagram. It was all pretty mind-blowing for me!
