Bummer, you might have to use a reshipper, find a store on E-Bay (who are often less sticky about shipping restrictions) or wait for one to pop up second hand locally.

If you want an amp that's very portable, sounds wicked, has 127 presets with modulation, delay and reverb, all controlled with a nice compact 4 switch footswitch then there is only one choice. The Blackstar ID30TVP. This bad boy is fkn loud for 30w and the tone is great. the Cubes cannot match this amp for pure tone. I'm getting the ID60TVP head next ? Hopefully for my 50th next year hint hint. ?

I jammed alongside a mate who was using a Fender Strat into a Fender Hot rod custom tube amp and his eyebrows were raised when I played the first note on my Ibby plugged straight into the Blackstar on a OD1 setting with 6L6 valve power stage emulation engaged. I told him jokingly "don't try turn up your delicate little bottle powered crate or I will have to turn this baby to 12 o'clock and you will become muffled background noise". lol 8) Seriously though I picked it up in mint condition for R3000 and a Fender tube amp costs 4 times the amount and will NOT kick the Blackstars arse.

Blackstar may not be an old brand like Fender, Marshall or Vox but they have made a big impact in the guitar amp market and got the attention of many a guitar wielding madman. They are musicians as well as some ex Marshall engineers_ passion and experience, gotta be a good combination. I like the programmable ID series because my tone possibilities are basically endless.

BTW - I have been using my Micro Cube at rehearsals (it's so easy to carry about) and I must say It is an amazing little machine. It cuts through the drums and bass easily and sounds great with my Tele. Definitely one of the best investments that I have ever made.

I couldn't agree more! ? Sounds great with a Stratocaster and Universe as well... 8)

I like that you don't need to compromise any more. Your guitar can sound as rich, and respond to picking and controls like Page's or Young's without breaking your eardrums or your back.

You can approximate that kind of thing with a modelling amp I guess. Or get a textureless, unresponsive overdrive with a pre-amp whether built-in or in pedal form.

But really, why would you?

I'm not f%$#cken braai-ing with you then hahahaha. Well Richie I'm glad the Cube is working for you and they are great I'm not dissing it and your getting on a bit now so valve amps are too heavey for you :?. I remember starting out playing on that Tele with a Kay 15 watt transistor amp and I was well pleased and my only pedal was a Boss chorus. I often say I was happier then because I didn't know any better and couldn't play for shit anyway hahahahahaha. I have played the Cube XL's and I would buy one but I'm glad I got the Blackstar first because its just way superior ?
