I havn't...but I was tempted by this a few weeks ago http://www.blackbeardsden.com/collections/frontpage/products/eg-tel-20 - I see the prices have increased slightly since I last looked.

The 'best' info I could find was this : :-\

By all reports, the body and neck are surprisingly quality, electronics (E.g. pups) are not. No idea about the rest of the hardware?

I'm pretty tempted to buy one of these steve vai looking ones (with the hectic trem) and do some reshaping of the body and headstock and try my hand at finishing it...
And then set the action so low that a strong breeze causes it to start fretting notes ?

BUT... time doesn't allow for it right now... in the next few months perhaps I will have more free time (I'm putting things in place that should make this happen)

I'm keen on that Thinline Tele vibe. For that price I think it would be a bit too much to ask for high quality pups. As long as the body and neck and hopefully bridge is killer, I think it's a go.

I got the thinline tele this week 8)

Been pretty crazy with work so haven't been able to start on it yet, but for the price I'm pretty impressed with the quality you get. Will change the pickups I'm sure, but it generally all seems very well made.

He is working on a thinline version, and I see they've also just released some kits for lefties
