Aria Echo chamber

I have this Aria Echo Chamber EM 35 I got from my uncle recently. I need to find some 8-track tapes for it as the one that came with it is worn out.
Where can I find 8-track tapes? I went to 2 music stores in our area and nothing, they don't even know where they can find it anymore...
Have any of you ever used one of these? Are they any good? What did they cost and how much is it worth now?

damn , that is really old , and damn interesting . i found some 8 tracks a year or so ago for my uncle who had a player on junkmail , but i am sure if you put ads up in the junkmail and gumtree you will find some . also saw some at the rosebank flea market about 3 months back but they were already recorded .

It doubt it'll be an 8-track, It'll be a loop of probably 1/4" or 1/2" tape. The only tapes I have seen available are for the WEM Copycat and the Roland Space Echo - I don't know if either would be compatible.

Measure width and length and go searching for something compatible. It should be possible to make your own with a reel of the correct width tape and a splicing kit, but I've never done it before.

@ Tail0n - It is interessting, I'd love to get it working to know what it sounds like.
@Alan - I enclosed some pics of the tape. I thought it's an 8-track, but it is a bit before my time so I just had a guess... :-[

Ah! Cassette type! Lol! You mention 8-track to a studio type and the eight track cassettes are not what he thinks of first. If you open that up, you'll find a simple loop of tape inside - replace that.
