Armandearl
Hi there guys. Check out my new acoustic. Sigma D28V, with LR Baggs element. These guitars are now available in SA and worth a check if your in the market for a good quality sounding guitar at a decent price.

Looks lekker. Hows the element pickup? I'm thinking of getting one on my acoustic.

Congrats! If those are anything like the Sigmas they made in the '90s, it'll be great value-for-money and a good, solid working man's instrument. Basically an affordable Martin made in Asia.

Very pretty! Where did you buy it and if I may ask, what was the damage?

The element is nice, its what they recommended i should put in. But according to them the LR Baggs is very scarce at the moment, I was lucky getting one.
I got it from Oosthavens music store in pretoria. The one guy working there is importing them, he said it will be available at other stores also. The damage was with the pickup included 7K. I'm happ with the price.
He is bringing in the Sigma all solid mahogany range in two, they come with a pick up and a padded bag for about the same price.

Looks like a great guitar and deal!

Congrat's, enjoy the guitar. I've also got a Sigma that I've had since the mid 90's. It's a great guitar.

I have had my Sigma since 1984 and its still going strong as ever - paid R300 for it back then!
Average inflation of 6% since then would make it R1600 now and if 10%, then around R5000 in todays terms.
I guess that the Rand verses Dollar should also be factored in?
Mine is not as good looking as your brand new one anymore Armandearl -> bumps and scratches etc.
If you more or less look after it expect it still to be giving you playing pleasure in 2044 and beyond!
