I did try out a Joyo Vintage Overdrive (Tubescreamer clone) - that was real good. Even A/B'ed with a new Ibby 30th Anniversary it sounded good. Pity that they are R700+ locally. The Nux OD-3 seems to be a very similar beast, perhaps even made in the same factory?...if so - worth every penny of R300.
Yeah I think comparing their cheap electric drums to that of Roland's might be a tall order... ?
Like you say I think some of these cheaper pedals are really worth a try
