Metal tone...

Hope this is the right place = Quite a few interesting points this guy makes... I out band situation, often the guitarists have their amp/pedals set up so that it sounds real good when they jam alone, but when the rest of the band comes in it's like "where'd the guitar go". When playing I try listen to which frequency range the keyboard is playing and how the bass guitar is jamming and try to play different chord voicings so that we aren't fighting for the same frequency ranges. After all... as this guy says, the guitarist is the most important and he/she needs to be heard...LOL. But it IS pointless playing and not being heard.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, the Metalzone has a 4 band eq and a gain control, if you can't make it sound at least acceptable you're the problem.

I mean I'd never personally buy one, but they're not these unusable pedals they're often made out to be.

Yeah... one of his points was that it's very easy to stuff it up... But then anything that puts a lot of control in the hands of the user is easy to stuff up... lol... I've produced some epically sucky patches for my GT8 before... wakakaka

Its epic dude..with my 15w fender frontman it sounds epic.. i think its the 10inch speaker.. but my crafter strat into the metal zone gives me the sickest cannibal corpse metal tones... shit metallica dreams of!
Its a bit buzzy though.. hopefully when i pick up a new cable itll fixthat, but shees, at R150, thats like, a lot of beers..
