but notice how few people even turn their heads to look let alone break their stride to listen ... thats so tragic.... however EVEN if you playing street music there are even so called 'standards"/popular songs one must play .....

in my travels most of the street muso's who do well play the same "popular" songs over and over repeating the same ones every few minutes cos they the "money songs"

I dunno - I've never found someone wailing over a backing track to be all that. I'd much rather watch a Gabriella type solo than I would a Rodrigo, as they create the core of the music - rhythm, percussion, dynamics and tonality.
