I don't have any physical pedals (apart from my POD HD400 which I don't count), but even in terms of amp sims, despite having access to almost every pedal imaginable, in Amplitube I pretty much stick just to a tubescreamer or other overdrive pedal, fuzz, delay, wah and volume pedal. Reverb I usually use the amp model's built-in one.
I'm sure collecting pedals is lots of fun (and expensive). I guess it's like the Magic: The Gathering cards I used to collect in school... did I need as many as I had? Nope, but it sure was fun getting new ones, and the excitement of the purchase and/or trade was what made it worthwhile.
