Hi All,
This is my latest recording. After the couple of reviews I received about my previous track, I tried to address those issues, especially timing, and overall composition. The track started out with the bass riff, and everything else was developed around that.
Mixing (if you can call it that ?) was done with headphones only, and no compression or any other digital mastering was done except for volume adjustments on the tracks to equalise them out a bit.
Over the weekend I bought studio monitors, Tannoy Reveal 501A's , but would not know what to change on the track for now, because it sounds good on the monitors, so all input would greatly help please from those more experienced in mixing/mastering.
Hope you enjoy!

I really can't say much about mixing besides the drums were a little loud and I think EZ Drummer generally applies a lot of compression by default as far as I know which gives it a bit of a "tik tik tik" sound.
I liked the track though, reminded me of Buckethead at times. It did get a bit monotonous about 3/4 through though, the drums were quite samey.

Seems the left hear got a bit more of the song than the right listening through my headphones.
it sounds like you are using 2 layers for the rhythm, if you can manage see how 4 individual recordings of the rythm sounds 2 for left and 2 for right pan. full L and R and then the other 2 playing around for best sound.
lead and drums and bass are usually placed on center or close to center if its double track.
My mastering technique is to get the drums at one volume and try and adjust all the other instruments around that.
If the mixing is done well then mastering is only fine tuning, very slight db adjustments. The more instruments or tracks played at a given time you want to bring the volumes down a bit. So that the final output does not clip and sound like a mess.
Granted I am no pro and only a month or so experience, not many responded and thought my 2 cents might be of service ?
The song is pretty decent, a very subdue melody which i like, the drum track could use more variety, but all the instruments are audible and clean.
Cheers!
