Washburn Force 2
Banditman
Has anyone every played one? I know they were MIJ back around '82 - '84 and were the entry level of the series, but nada apart from that.
Got a line on one for under a grand locally, and thought it could be a candidate - if solid and no screwed frets etc - for a younger guy I'm teaching. He's on a tight budget and battling with a Sanchez LP that has 'orrible microphonic pickups.
Failing which, does anyone have a set of unused Epiphone LP Standard pickups looking for a new home?

That's the Matsomoku era of Washburn, so will be well worth it if frets are still good and no major structural damage.
Otherwise I just found a set of Wilkinson Zebras in my spares cupboard. PM me an offer if you need.

There's the voice I was expecting!
Thanks for the insight, Alan. I'll get round to have a look at it as soon as I get a gap.
Re: the Wilkinsons - I haven't a clue what to offer for a set. Just let me know what you'd like for them, and I'll put the ball in his court.
Muchos gracias.

Thanks Alan for coming through on the pickups so quickly. Now as soon as our local bunch of
useless seat occupiers
post office employees can find the parcel, we'll be set.
In practice yesterday we showed Jimmy just how microphonic those standard Sanchez pickups are. He had the guitar slung around his neck and was talking, & I could faintly hear his voice / speech cadence through his amp. We got him to step on the o/drive switch and speak directly at the pickups. Hey presto - who needs a Heil talk box.
Yet again a good reason to steer new guitarists towards clean used decent gear rather than the C*** C*****ers-type cheap Chinese stuff.
