guitarboy2828 Quite cool, if you ask me! ? http://www.guitarworld.com/cigar-box-how-build-cigar-box-guitar-around-25 Any builders out there gonna give it a go?
Chocklit_Thunda I've always wanted to do an oil can guitar but those are hard to come by :'( cigar box guits are awesome though
peterleroux CBG is definitely my next toy. I've got a piece of teak set aside for the neck, got some tuners and fretwire and I just need to take some time to put the box together.
DonRoos A friend and member of a previous band I was in built one of these. I played it and it was awesome. Only 3 strings but it had a unique sound. Not sure what I would do with one if I built it so have not embarked on the project yet.
peterleroux Loads of people have played these, including Paul McCartney with Dave Grohl and Krist Noveselic, but this is a cool intro including some great blues on one and three string CBG: =
Chocklit_Thunda A cool thing to do is use a strat pickup and slant the pickup so that the 3 strings sit between the 6 poles 8) sort of like a p bass pickup! Gives a different sound to the whole shebang Side note, "shebang" is actually a word ?
