CBG is definitely my next toy. I've got a piece of teak set aside for the neck, got some tuners and fretwire and I just need to take some time to put the box together.

A friend and member of a previous band I was in built one of these. I played it and it was awesome. Only 3 strings but it had a unique sound. Not sure what I would do with one if I built it so have not embarked on the project yet.

A cool thing to do is use a strat pickup and slant the pickup so that the 3 strings sit between the 6 poles 8) sort of like a p bass pickup! Gives a different sound to the whole shebang

Side note, "shebang" is actually a word ?
