Looking for a Les Paul on a budget.

Hey guys. So I'm looking for a Les Paul equipped with humbuckers mainly because I've recently become a huge fan of Joe Bonamassa and his sound. My current Les Paul is equipped with P90's thus I am looking for another. Here's what I am looking at: Cort CR250 Cort CR280 Tanglewood TSB 59 Any other recommendations? Epiphone is not on my list because my experiences with them have not been too good... I'm not looking for a goldtop necessarily as Bonamassa is famous for playing, but I'm more interested in the sound and have been considering these two brands I've mentioned above. Any help and advice is appreciated!

Without a shadow of a doubt I would hit the Ibanez Artist series.. AR300 up..

and those stock super58 pups are fabulous.

Any idea what those retail for?

Not sure mate, try give the lads at TOMS a call, back in the day they were (and I believe still are) the official Ibanez agents.

A new LS 160 should be around R26k'ish... Take it from me... Once youve played or owned a guitar like that, nothing ever comes close! Another difference between the 92 and 150/160 is brass saddles and an aluminium tail piece in stead of the nickel chrome.
Give Lance (TokaiSA) a shout, he'll be more than willing to help you!

Not to hijack this, but which Bareknuckles do you have ? Is there a thread where I can hear them ? Lusting after some Stormy Mondays, just eye watering pricy. Got a trip to the UK later so will pick some up and save on shipping at least !

I have a Mule in the neck and a Black Dog in the bridge.

Here's a comp entry from 2 years ago. I used my LS92 straight into my 18 watt Marshall. The amp was on the same settings throughout.

You might wanna ask him for the serial number and double check with Lance (TokaiSA)
The treble pickup looks... different.

Is that different as in "dodgy" or different as in he changed them to something else... Are the original pups pricey to source and fit if something has been changed?

different as in it looks like a Tom Anderson pup.. but i cant be sure.
Either way, it doesn't look stock. But Lance would be able to confirm.. Maybe this was a special order?!
Regarding getting it back to original, maybe the seller has the original pup, should have it anyways in my opinion.

It does look like a Tom Anderson or other replacement "slugbucker". I doubt it's factory installed. Not necessarily a bad thing, and you can always change the pickup if you don't like it.

I have the LS98 Custom. And I agree, it will be a freezing day in hell for me to give it up. It is made of Solid Mahogany.
