The original Danos were generally temperamental cows, which take a lot of work to get them to stay in tune - and usually still had intonation issues. Newer ones are far, far better.

Not according to the credits on the album. But it has to be said that Messrs Page and Plant were... careless in several instances when it came to noting the authorship of a song. That said, I haven't seen this listed as one of their pieces of opportunism/plagiarism.

I was wrong too. The track is now credited as co-written by Memphis Minnie, but several Zep tracks had the credits change over the years because of "out of court settlements".

Yes, I've heard they can be a bit porcine. But I like them anyway. Watch the Band of Joy DVD and tell me you don't have GAS for a baritone Danelectro.
