thanks to Joel & Norm that popped in for our gig last night. Icreamman, PeteM sorry you guys couldn't make it. It was a great gig, I was so happy with my Marshall amp sound (brought back to life by JP le Roux). Very happy with our new bassist (Craig) and my drummer (and brother in law) Claude's playing. We also had a surprise visit from Nick Slade (Diamond Dogs) who jammed a couple of numbers with us as well. So all in all a fantastic start to the weekend.

Pah! I went to the TJ's open mic on Thursday but they had the whole night booked out by the time I got there. Then I resolved to pitch at Keira's event but I had guys in to fix the roof and things started well but then took a wrong turn and THEN the driver didn't pitch until 20:00 to pick them up. So that was my musical ambitions for the week comprehensively banjaxed.

Maybe this is a sign that a second career doesn't await me.
