Weekly Challenge 02/02/09

Renesongs

The word for this week is Industrial
So rip your amp and FXs out of their casings so that the wires and tubes are all bear and get playing with minimalist fury .
The usual rules apply 60 sec or less, 4 track or less with at least 1 guitar track, no covers, in by midnight Thursday 5th

I know Alan has a little Rammstein-like industrial in him, but I actually chose this word to see if the guys would get creative.

So who's taking an angle grinder to an anvil? Hammer to the table? or putting the cat in the blender?

Squonk

Ever see Paul Gilberts electric drill, with plectrums on the drill bit. Pretty industrial.

If you've got it recorded to a familiar format (ogg / Mp3) then you must host it. I suggest a box.net account or alternatively use the forum's own uploader.
Then once that's done you can pm Rene the link, letting him know which class you'd like to be in and any other additional info you'd like to include about your masterpiece.
Then you just wait 'till Friday morning to see it hosted...

Nice to see new faces giving this a go, well done.

That I'd like to hear!

Lethe

where is the forums own uploader? sorry, i have no clue about these things and i dont have a box.net account...

Lethe

never mind... found the uploader... should look before asking...

Spyke

Box.net accounts are free and very versatile, but it's only right making use of the GFSA uploaders for our competitions here.

My entry is in.... I'm really hoping this week we have at least 5 entries in each class! :bopping:

The more the merrier... :goodtimes:

Spyke

Mine's in too.

I actually battled with this one a bit, even though it's my topic. I just couldn't come up with a Industrial riff / lick that I was happy with. My colleagues love it though... ???

Lethe

i used the guitar forum uploader. how do i get rene a link to where it is?

Spyke

You can take it straight from the address bar at the top of your browser. PM him the address

Lethe
