HI all,

Al three available used at roughly the same price....

Which one to choose?

Try them all before you buy... even a new one in store if you can.
You have to find which one works for you ?

The ditto has the fewest features, but some prefer that.

The jamman has micro sd support, plus support to link another jamman and have one big loop rig.

the rc3 is similar to the jamman, but cannot be linked to another, and only has internal storage for tracks. the firmware can be upgraded to enable bug fixes too.

I quite liked the idea of the jamman - you load the sd card from your PC with precut loops (or take ones off the sd card, edit them and put them back).

But...I read some user reviews complaining about crashing during live use and other buggy irritations, which put me off. I saw Dr Gonzo had one for sale recent, wonder what he thought of it?

I like the double pedal and SD card idea. But it is also the oldest of the three options and more likely to give problems... :-\

RC 3 for the win...I went thru the same exercise a while ago an went for the RC3 ...3 hours is more than enough for me so the SD card option became non issue anyway...

the ditto was not around then , but reading up in it, seems like an excellent pedal but probably a lil more complicated due to the simplicity of it...(rereading it again this is a perfect paradox eh) ?

go the RC3 imho, sound reproduction is spot on , connects via USB to laptop etc ,can download, upload, sideload, anyotherkindofload patches as you please..... can connect any kind of device to it etc

and its Boss, never going to break

I have an older Jam man with the 2 boss style stomps and SD card I'm wanting to sell at some point… Will post it up on the classifieds soon ?

Its a cool unit, I much prefer that style stomp that the clicky metal ones for looping…

Like I said I like the SD card idea and the twin pedal and one was for sale recently but I was put off by a review that said they failed during live use, and that the reproduction quality fades with every added loop... Dr.Gonzo any comments?

On the age issue, I have a digitech Jam man from 2005. I had to replace one of the switches (I did it myself, cost less than R10) and other than that the pedal is still working great.
I do find that if I re-save a piece at a different tempo to the one at which I recorded it, then I get stretched sounding audio. I am not sure if this has always been the case or whether it is a recent development.

hmmm I had one a while back that never gave me any problems… and the unit I have now, I got as a trade and haven't used it all that much, but its a few years old and still working like a charm so I think its pretty reliable. That being said I have not used it extensively or Live.
