Saw a lovely looking snow white Yamaha Pacifica in a shop today fleetingly.
It was brand new and had 2 single coils and a bucker at the bridge.
Tag R 2000. Is this a deal?
AFAIK, the Pacificas start at R3K retail, so 2K is a decent price.
That really depends on which pacifica it is. I would say it is worth it for a 112 or better, but not for the 012.
The 112 is a very nice guitar. possibly the nicest in the entry-level price bracket.
They just get nicer from there.

It's a PAC 012. So if 2k is not good what would be?
Thank you for pointing out that Pacificas are not one guitar. I paid R5k for my 904 nearly 10 years ago, and it was a knock-down price.

          R2k may be a little pricey for a 2nd hand 012.

What is this specific model like Singe?

Surely you can get a better model for less 2nd hand? The 012 is comparable to a squier affinity or a cort G110. Solid wood body (Agathis if I remember correctly) but entry level hardware. The most you'd pay for those is 1200 second hand. For 2K you could get a better HSS model guitar.

Saw the guitar and thought it might be a good deal, the 2nd hand one in PaulJ's post is going for R 2 500.
I hear you. Got my 2 babies, was just wondering. ?
Keep an eye out for 2nd hand Pacificas though. Because people are convinced that they're all entry level guitars there are often stupid-good deals in the 600-800 series Pacificas.

You own nicer guitars already. Unless your main reason for looking is not to play it, I would say that no price is a good price for this guitar (for you). Just because it is cheaper than usual doesn't mean you should buy it hahaha The old Toms sale trick, where I end up spending R1500 on R4500 worth of goods I don't need or use.

Singe, 5k for a 904 seems an incredible deal. I don't know what they retail for, but the nicer pacificas I have played (mostly an 812) were some of the nicest super strats I have played.
