Hi guys
Do you know who brings in Eventide pedals to SA? / where I can get a good deal on them?
Im looking for the Timefactor... I just lost out on a second hand one so really want to get my hands on one now!
Any of you have one you keen on moving? I got a lot of gear you might be interested in as well

well, i would check what the price on the Timeline is since its available locally.
Get in touch with Matthew from TI Distribution, here on the forum. (Search for TI Distribution).
Otherwise, message Strymon Pedals SA on facebook.

Order through Proguitarshop/Prymaxe Vintage, they often have 20% off, so you're looking at around 3.5k landed.
Also, have a look at the H9 over the timefactor.

Thanks guys!
Does the El Capystan have 2 dealys in one? i.e can /I footswitch between 2 delays? I like the size of it!
I will try chat up TI Distribution and will check out those other links now.

Dave,
The El Cap does indeed have 2 delays in one.
the expression pedal input allows you to choose between footswitch / expression pedal on any knob setting. ?

I ordered one off Pryamxe Vintage... Damn paypal and Credit Card is not a good idea, its just too easy to click with a worry-about-it later attitude. Ouch! ?
But also... YAY! ?
they gave 15% discount so it worked out essentially that shipping was free and quite a good deal. If the exchange rate was not so shocking it would of actually worked out to be a really smashing deal... but alas.
anyway, Im a complete delay junky so i feel its time I treat myself with one of the best toys in the market.

Cool! Congrats. I'm sure you'll love it. The best sounding pedal digital delay IMO. Sounds every bit as good as their rack units.
The only problem with them is they are so nice, they start you thinking about the other factor pedals... (and Space... ?)

So you went with the timefactor?
Lets see the pedal when she lands, unboxing pics and all 8)
DrGonzo
Woohoo, 7 - 11 days, cant wait. 8)
Norman86
2 days to land in ZA... the rest of the time is spent in Customs and travelling to your destination!
DrGonzo
yup... pretty much. I will just go and raid customs
Norman86
hmmm.. pretty sure it lands at JIMC first...
Either way... Its on its way ?
DrGonzo
Ok, so I got my Timefactor - Woohooo (except at Customs, ouch that was quite a beech)
But they sent it with an 110V adapter and being so hasty i forgot to check that, and plugged it in right away
the unit went on for a few seconds and cut out so I assume the power supply blew. (hoping there is no damage to the unit??)
Im so irritated this Unit has the smaller power socket pin, WHY!!? >☹ I have about 5 power supplies that will feed it happily but now I need to go and buy a special one.
SO do you guys know where A) I can get an Eventide power supply or B) a suitable alternative with the smaller DC pin?
Norman86
What pin does it use?
DrGonzo
Not sure, but the normal 9V connector from boss PSU's and power bricks are just one size too big
SO any idea where I can order an eventide power supply?
AlanRatcliffe
If you have a suitable supply with the wrong plug and a blown supply with the right plug, the solution seems obvious to me...
DrGonzo
Holiest of crap, the time factor is seriously awesome! Waay more than I expected in terms of functionality!
happiness! ?
Im still not sorted with a power supply - I'm using this really old switchable wall wart that is heavy and i suspect quite noisy..
Do you guys know where I can order an eventide power supply?
as mentioned before… the normal pedal supply connectors like boss or from power bricks do not fit in the time factor.. I think the polarity is different is why,,, its just slightly too big.
So I'm looking at getting a nice compact(ish) switchable PSU or preferably a fixed one like the one the eventide came with that i blew to smithereens !!

Told ya!

I
think the local agents are Prosound IIRC.
DrGonzo
Just been informed that it is Eastern Acoustics who bring in Eventide… hopefully they can sort me out.
