EMG Select PUP wiring

Hi guys

I'm using these pickups for my bass "re"build and I've hit a speed bump... I managed to get the wiring diagram from Hohner for these pups because they come from a Hohner bass but it includes an active circuit which makes me ask 2 questions:

1 are these pickups active and

2 can I use them in a passive wiring scheme like this?

They are passive pickups, so they'll work in a normal passive circuit just fine.

Thanks Alan the references to these pups online in pretty sparse so I couldn't see if they were active or passive,but I'm busy soldering it all together now, so keen to hear this thing! ?
