Nope. I do know a James Brown song by that name, an insanely fast funky thing.

Someone once compared my playing style to Wilko Johnson's, so I looked into them. Was quite disappointed to find they were closer to Status Quo than Paco or Chet Atkins. Still, a decent three-chord Brit pub rock band.

Aretha Franklin also had a song titled "Dr Feelgood". Apparently the band named themselves after a slang term for a certain type of MD who prescribes generously and without asking too many questions.

I remember them, but haven't actually heard them. The pub rock scene in England was quite important as a back-to-basics precursor to punk. The rebellion against rock excess really started with pub rock.

It also seems to have been an important training ground for important immediate post-punk acts such as Ian Dury, Graham Parker and the Rumour, Elvis Costello and Rockpile (the latter hardly ever recorded under their own name as various members of the band had contracts with different labels).
