Italia Guitars Rimini 12 string - Opinions??

So I've been offered the above aforementioned Italia Rimini 12 string electric semi hollow guitar for a great price, but I wondered if any of you good folk had any experience with this guitar specifically, or at least the italia brand? It seems like a great buy for that 12 string tone, but I am just a little concerned with it not being a particularly well known brabd out here.

Any thoughts or opinions? Any other recommendations for 12 string electrics I should look into?

Love it. Fantastic build quality, tonally very diverse, and it just 'feels' like a well made instrument if that makes any sense. The designs of their stuff appeals to me, and I believe they're a cut above many of the other brands out there, just less well known.

Don't know them, but one of the only two 12's I'd look at if I were shopping in that price range - the other being the Eastwood Classic 12. Nice wide necks...

I had also watched this video, and found it to sound exactly as I'd hoped, but there's only so much a video can show. It looks promising, but the other issue I have is that I'd have to buy it 'untested' as its sitting in JoBurg. I know that Musiek Wereld here has the 6 strings in stock, so I can go try one of them, but that again will only tell me part of the story.

One of the concerns I'd have with the design is the lower set of tuners... They are on what looks to be a very narrow strip of wood, and I'd be concerned that this may be a weak point? Should the worst happen, and the strip of wood got cracked, and broken, would it be something that could be repaired easily?

Not really - rock maple and same width as a headstock is thick...

ronnie's shop up in jozi has a few of these and i've played a few in fact most ....very impressive BUT let me add "for the price" if you getting it at a good price you can't go wrong ...but don't overpay ...call ronnie(all bang and strummit) on 0824131486 and compare prices ...unless he's the one you buying from...he bought in a whole lot when another music store went under and he's selling em at fabulous prices to what they retail for... and the ones i played are definitely worth the money he's asking

I have a Rimini 6/12 that I am reasonably happy with but I have to be honest enough to add that I am not over the moon about the pickups. IIrc they are Wilkinson? Anyway, the rest of the instrument is nice with, indeed, a lekker neck on the 12 side.
