Anybody know these?

Been reading reviews and the guy says that they are ridiculously underpriced and they are good value for money in the under $1000 price range.

Guy on gumtree is selling one for R2500....or a 30w amp

He even mentions the Gatorcase! I swear he bought it for R800 and is selling it off for R2500!

I feel sorry for this dude, as the very exact guitar sold for R800 the day before, then the morning after, the 'new owner' (for want of a better word) placed it up for sale at R3k! I gather that this fellow bought it for R2500 that morning, before realising he needed a new amp?

They are decent guitars, and certainly worth the R800 the original seller was asking, and if in good condition, probably worth the R2500 this guy is now asking, especially if it has a case, but you gotta feel for the fella for missing out the day before!

EDIT: I see you spotted the other ad now.... No it wasn't him who bought it for R800, but a known shark/dealer who then turned it over at great profit the very next day.

That's what I thought from what I've read. Hope that while I am waiting on a reply everybody is phoning this guy.... ?

I'm tempted to to try swing him my Ibanez Tsa 15h and cab, but I feel I may struggle to convince him of it's merits, as he seems pretty set on at least 30 watts. Also, I already have what I believe is one of the nicest production dreadnoughts in the world in my Cole Clark FL2 and no other nice electric amps...so even though I seldom use it, I think I'll hang on to the amp.

Lets see what happens. I saw some used acoustics of theirs going for around $400...They are apparently a manufacturer in USA that sells directly to the public, and (from looking at their site) doesn't seem like they make 'real' acoustics anymore...

My Nylon synth guitar is a Carvin. Logo looks right. Carvin Cobalt, but I don't know which one or how good.

It's likely to be worth a lot more - they are more a build-to order company than a cheap importer. The Fishman Prefix Plus is worth the selling price alone...

OK - I was a bit worried about the standard Asian Jack socket (A US Prefix would have a Switchcraft) so I looked further.

These guitars were made in Korea for Carvin (probably Cort). Bottom of the range 250 was $340. They ebay for $250 and the top of the line 850 sells for up to $500.
