You want way too much stuff at once. If you go and check out the Ibanez guitars at Toms, your probably still gonna wanna sell all your stuff for a new guitar, and a BR600, and a JS1200 and maybe some new pedals ass well, ne!

Norio, I suffer from GAS too, so do what I do: make a "want" list and list stuff in order of priority. Then work to it. When you get some money you already know where it is best used, instead of getting fired up and buying the first things that come to mind. This way you avoid the situation I found myself in a few years ago - 13 guitars and no amp to play them through.

In other words, wait until you have a good guitar and a good amp before you look at more guitars or equipment to record them with. It also means you don't forget the smaller stuff like cables, etc. (a new, bigger desk was top of my list until yesterday!).

Add/remove as necessary and change order if something happens. For instance: one channel of my studio PC's audio interface suddenly died yesterday, so my need to upgrade soundcards just went from the bottom of my list to the top of it.

I like your idea of a prioritised want list! Where do I store it thought? Surely there are cool online tools for this?

Prioritized want list ... Mmmm. What a novel idea. Is there a guideline as to how long it should be ;D

1. Talent !!!!! Any ideas on where I can buy some?
2. Clean Boost Pedal - I need it within the next 2 weeks if I'm gonna use my Anniversary edition for our
DVD recording.
3. Pedal Board - Current Pedal Board thing only hold 4 BOSS pedals and my Volume pedal.

I'm not a Gibson fan, but the Fadeds are where I would start looking for a Gibson Les Paul. Excellent quality and very consistent. Probably as close to value for money as Gibson gets.

Although if you are looking for an LP, look at the Heritage instruments. They don't hold the value of a Gibson, but are much better instruments for your money.

I found this H-157 online. Quiet expensive. $1750

Maybe you're right, but to me it feels like it's only one step away from being included in the Oxford and Collins dictionaries.

IT snob ? . I wasn't going to write: "your text editor of choice" when I could say notepad and have anyone understand it. I use UltraEdit for most text/coding stuff, but it's hard to beat notepad for a quick loading plain text proggie.

Not compared to a Gibson Historic range equivalent - which is the level of these guitars. The Historic Les Pauls are R30K and up.

They are built in the old Gibson factory with all the old tools and techniques with which the '50s & '60s Gibbys were built. The only exception to this is a Plek machine - which gets my vote of approval.

Nonetheless, tracking text files is a pain in the arse!

Point taken. I don't like the headstock though. I guess it's more about the sound/build quality than the look. The rest of the guitar looks great.
