hey guys ?

i thought i'd put up a post and like the title says, ask and see who is heading out to see anybody playing this weekend ? ?

i myself might catch my buddies tomorrow evening playing in their blues band.

Lethe

Watching a couple of bands at Rumours this Sat.
Also playing are Albino Beach!
A fantastic instrumental band.

Shibbibilybob

I'm going to be at mercury watching Poverty of Ideals and Facing the Gallows.
I am not a big metal fan, but having moved to CT from Jozi three years ago, these are the kinds of shows where I get to see my Jozi friends.
Luckily, the bands that contain friends of mine are rather frequent visitors to the Cape...so that's cool.

Band I'm playing for at the moment is opening for Taxi Violence over the next two nights in Durban. Keen to be playing again ?

AlanRatcliffe

The Alma Cafe has David Allison playing on Sunday...

LooneyAtTheGate

This Saturday its gig heaven for me - watching my friend's band All Guns Full Ammo at ROAR, supported by my old band Ark Synesis, and also Chad's prog band Zero Stroke at Ragazzi plus some other bands..

Damn! Haven't seen them in ages. Last time I went to a show of theirs, the power cut out... Can't make this one ☹

I'm also going. My band (ragamuffin) is playing tomorrow at 5 (main stage). If you can make it come say hi man! ?

I was considering going to both the gig at 38 on lower-main here in Obz (Simple Image - Daniel Fernandes on bass and vocals showing us what performance really is and Allesandro Battisti rocking a '70s LP Custom like they were meant to be rocked) and to Chad's gig.

But sadly I don't think there'll be anyway to get to Ragazzi safely post rock libations. I'll have to catch them next time.

wow guys, sounds like there was quite a few of you meneers 'out and about' this weekend past ?

i was looking to come through to mercury for this show myself but I did'nt have anyone to go with, and was'nt that keen on taking a drive through myself.

these guys sound interesting. there aren't that many instrumental bands around to see, and whenever i do happen to see one play they're always doing something intriguing.

Hammeron

EZ and I are going to see Morecowbell's ma (who's an international concert pianist) play her extremely weird stuff at The Mahogany Lounge on Buitenkant Street at 7pm on Sat. I anticipate being confused.
