So my favourite stompbox is intermittently giving problems and it seems its the footswitch. ☹ ☹ ☹
Does anyone know who I can take it to, to get the footswitch replaced. Is this something that I could perhaps do myself? Any advice appreciated, I can see this being something that will help for future as well.
I am based in Cape Town

Usually it's just a bit of dirt. Get a can of contact or switch cleaner and spray it in there. Only if that doesn't work do you need to change the switch, which is an easy job as long as you know what type of switch it is (latching/non, single/double/triple pole, etc.).

I tried spraying some contact cleaner but the problem persists. I end up kicking the pedals switch around a bit on the pedalboard and then it works. It is a MI AUDIO blue boy.

Yeah - then you'll need to replace the switch. Not a difficult job if you know which end of a soldering iron to hold. You just have to identify and source the right switch.
Generally going to an electronics tech works out pricey for the small stuff. Maybe someone here will offer to help...
