Incredible. Bruce put on a great show. Really connected with the audience. One of the best concerts I have seen.

Yep, I went..... Loved the show,
Bruce has more energy at 64 than many younger Okes I know who talk about golf and remember when .....
Neat thing was his interaction with the crowd even when the rain came down he was playing off the lowest platform in the thick of it..
Played 31 songs

Our Boy blues maestro Dan Patlansky opened the show, the first song with Elvis Blue and then the wild man took over ....... he is a "mad man" with that red Strat of his ..... absolutely AWESOME !!!! did things with that Strat that should have a age rating (non-sexual)

Over at 12:12 a.m. for a 3:22 show.
I thought that Stevie was pretty low key throughout the show and only came into the lime light every now and again. I am sure the video footage will tell a different story
Lastly what I thought was very neat was a tribute to old band members Danny Federici and Clarence Clemons who had past away, footage of past performances was displayed on the big screens towards the end of the show.
BTW I see he got slated about making reference to ‘I’m at the crossroads of history’ in an interview .....in "The Telegraph"
Very Enjoyable... he is the Boss baby !!!!

I saw him in '88, on a bill with Sting, Peter Gabriel, Yossou N'Dour and Tracy Chapman. What I remember was the energy, yes, but also the way that he could really communicate across that huge stadium (this was a big soccer bowl in Harare). You hear about "charisma" from time to time, but Springsteen had it that night in a way that the other acts did not (maybe N'Dour, with help from a brilliant band that generated fabulous rhythms). Great stage craft, great projection. Not just the big screens, he somehow projects himself into that big arena - it was like he was 20 feet tall.
When I saw him all the rock 'n roll or r 'n b clichés built into the show, but somehow with him they weren't clichés, they were genuinely moving and/or thrilling. At one point he did the old James Brown stunt. Fall over, act like you're wearied out, the roadies run on to help you, you push them away, pull yourself back up and carry on the show. You could see the end of that coming a mile off and yet he still got away with it and it still built the excitement of the show.
I don't know what the E-Street band are like NOW, but I suspect they're not that different from what I saw. Very tight. Amazing power and intensity that they could turn on at the click of a finger, or sustain for a whole song if they had to. I recall thinking they couldn't keep that up all night, but they did. They did the Edwin Starr song "War" (Wo wo wo wo. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing) that was almost unbearable it was delivered with such intensity and such conviction.
I'm kicking myself for not going.

My wife and I went to the 1st Cape Town show and the Jhb one. Jhb had a slightly longer and (for us) better setlist although the differences weren't huge. Cpt didn't get him acoustic early on and no Patlansky but the venue was much smaller and because of that more intimate. We were two rows from stage in Cpt and on the rail in Jhb. His charisma and interaction is fantastic, his energy amazing, his voice as good as ever, his guitar playing is simple yet powerful, the arrangements are something to behold and the E-street band is just great. Lil' Steve was fairly subdued, perhaps because Tom Morello (who was brilliant) was there. Nils Lofgren was great too. Pity Bruce's wife wasn't there.
If you missed it you missed the best show of our lifetime in my opinion but he promised repeatedly that they'll return and I think he'll still be carrying on like this until he's 70 judging by current form.
