Server downtime

Sadly the server was down for a whopping 8 hours last night.

Elitehost managed to revive the server at about midnight.

I'm moving it this morning to a server in Amsterdam. This should give us about another 2 hours downtime but will also prevent the site going down should there be any other issues.

There's a possibility that the forum is what's bringing my server down - so this is a much-needed move. Also, Amsterdam should provide speedy-enough access to be at least somewhat comparable to ZA speeds.

The idea is that this is a win-win. The site should have almost zero down-time in the coming years and my server will hopefully enjoy the same benefit.

Thankfully, the ads on the site mean it can easily support itself on its own server now ?

The server was moved successfully but it will take between 2 and 4 hours for most of you to see the new site.

Also, you might be on the new server but the top menu doesn't show - give it 2-4 hours for DNS propagation and then the top menu will show (as it's loaded from a subdomain).

I *did* fix it. Are you still experiencing issues with it? The server is set to SAST so maybe check your profile in case it has a +2 offset added ontop of that.
