Hi Guys

So as the title suggests, I'm looking to completely refinish my neck thru Jackson slsmg. What I'm basically after is for somebody to completely remove all the black paint to get a really nice natural finish. I don't trust myself enough to do this, hence I am seeking a pro!

Who can you guys recommend to get this done professionally? Does such a being or establishment exist? I'm based in Cape Town.

Thanks ?
Yeah a through neck is a daunting task for anyone - more in stripping off the old finish than applying a the new. No-one will really want to do it, so prices will likely reflect that...

Speak to Foster van der Merwe and Brian Fanner.
      Thanks for the info!

That's what I suspected, I'm sure even to a pro it would be quite an ask.

I'll shoot a mail to Foster and see what he says.

        Yup, so R4000 from Foster's.

Bit too much for me just for a new finish. Not to say it's not worth that
in man power and time, but the risk of possible ugly wood grain and
the fact that it's just a new finish don't make it worthwhile I think.

I just have this insatiable lust for a natural finish guitar lately!

          There's a cure for that.

This is the reason I ended up buying a new (pre owned) guitar after my epiphone les paul got damaged... would have cost too much to repair for the value of the instrument... so I spent a little more and got an upgrade... worked out in the end though, love my new guitar.

If I were to bring home yet another guitar... I fear what my lady would do to me...
