Has anyone here had any experience with ordering from musiciansfriend.com?
They have a delivered to your door price in ZAR. Prices are much better than local guitar shops!
Some second hand gear too. Anyone here used them or anyone else they could recommend?

Check the existing musicians friend thread I made a while ago for more info. In short, they are really great and reliable. I ordered and received the item at my door 3 days later delivered by UPS.
Some of their prices are amazing, I saved over 5k on a free shipping special they had a year ago or so. I don't know if they'll have such a huge special again though.. I've been checking ever since.

Thanks for the feedback i'll search for that topic!
The gear i'm looking at is secondhand so a little nervous. There's a condition 1 (mint condition) guitar going for around 5k less than we'd pay brand new here, and a condition 2 (gently used) going for 2 grand cheaper! Bit scared it'll be scratched up or something though.

Another plus 1 and I would have no hesitation on a condition 1. I took a gamble on a condition 3 Strat and I still can't figure why it wasn't sold as new !!

I bought a condition 2 or 3 (can't remember) synth and it came in PERFECT condition in original box sealed and everything. It was brand new and untouched.

Thanks for the feedback guys! You have me thinking! Condition 1 is R15700, same guitar condition 2 is R13400! Would you gamble and go condition2?
Also so I pay duties and import? What might be the deciding factor!

I would go condition 2. However that's personal preference.
I think musiciansfriend now includes all prices (incl. duty) in the total price of the item. They guarantee it as final price.

correct me if I am wrong but Cond 1 comes with the 45 day guarantee and not condition 2, thus I would go condition 1.
An yes, don't worry about dealing with them, I landed a mint strat (cond 1) for less than half the cost of a new one here.
so long as you saving a sizeable amount of cash its worth it, don't do it to save lil money though

I've bought 5 guitars and 3 amps from MF over the years, never had issues.
I luckily bought them when shipping was free and only paid customs
