So it's been awhile since I found anything decent in all the pawn shops I drop in on from time to time, mostly your cheap 'n nasty Sanchez/Behringer/Crescendo shite.
So round about last year July I got a heads up from one of the guys that owns a pawn shop not far form me, he said he had something in which I might be interested in and told me he would put my cell number on the case if it ever came out of pawn, I kept going back to find out what was happening and he told me that the gent who pawned it keeps coming in and paying the interest on the loan he took out on the guitar, so I kept trying up until December this year, but after I hadn't heard anything for awhile I decided to give up chasing it.
Then Yesterday morning I got a call from the pawn shop to say that a the guy had missed a payment on the guitar and it has now come out of pawn and it had my number on it, so I raced down to see what he had and it turned out to be a Gibson Les Paul Studio 1996 - made in Nashville.
Got him down to R3000, I still can't wipe the smile off my face ?
Now to explain to the wife why I'm buying guitars when it's salty cracks time of the month!
I do feel a little sad that the guy had to pawn his baby and lost it, but unfortunately that's the way it goes.
I'll post some better pictures once I get a chance to clean her up, but now I gotta play......play till my fingers bleed.
