Hi guys
Im looking for a patch of accessible bamboo, quite large - about 3-6cm diameter that we can chop down.
We need about 12 pieces.
This is for a structure ? Art installation that we are building at Afrika Burn this year!
Do you know where i can find some bamboo patches? or if you have some growing wild in your garden we wil gladly come and remove them!

We used to have a whole lot in our garden in rondebosch. Like an annoyingly large lot. It was growing in our next door neighbours garden and suddenly started shooting up in ours.
I dont live at the house anymore, but it was in Keert-de-koe in rondebosch.
If you walk a bit down that canal, you should find a whole lot of bamboo on your left, on the edge.

Is it large bamboo? Looking for around 2 inches thick. and 5 m long...

5m consistently might be pushing it, but when we were there (about a year ago) there were plenty that were at least an inch in diameter and 3-5m.

Well bamboo is reported to grow like 2cm per hour in some cases, so by that assumpition they will Massive by now!
