Talentloos As I lay in my bed, my guitar is laying across my lap. I played chopsticks on it for like 10 min. I've always wanted a telecaster. I mean look at it. It's beautiful. I've played her for about a year now and all of a sudden, somehow someway, the old girl just doesn't sound right anymore. I'm thinking of selling her. Moving onto something new. Am I doing something wrong? Was this all my fault? Should I have played less playstation and more with her? Has anyone here ever experienced this with their guitar? Like one day you just felt like moving on? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

psyx A guitar is like a lady. Sometimes she's not the prettiest, but you love her. However, if you fall out of love with her, its difficult to light the flame again. You can try to patch things up, but sometimes you need to gather the courage to let her go and move on. Maybe have a rebound on a pointy eye gouger and then settle on a Les Paul supermodel
Bob-Dubery My Morgan "changes" all the time. Except it doesn't really - it's a fine sounding guitar all the time and there's something else that is changing, probably some part of me. Sometimes I have a great set of nails and the guitar is really sounding good, then I chip a nail and cut the others back to a similar length and then there's more flesh on the string and less nail and it doesn't sound so hot. Until the next night when it suddenly sounds better again. But what changed? My nails grew back overnight? I don't think so. So my expectation of the sound adjusted or I subconsciously adjusted the angle of attack of my fingers. Whatever changed, it wasn't the guitar. Also when I'm playing better the guitar sounds great. When I don't know my posterior from my elbow then the guitar sounds not so good. But it's the same guitar all the time, so unless I've fiddled with something it's not the guitar that is changing.
